Serving as an alternative land route to taking shipping through the Azar, the path through Saimonia may be mountainous and conflict-ridden but sometimes it can be a lot cheaper, and manageable with fewer hands. This means if you have political or economic reasons not to deal with Nabotaea and the Azar, you might choose to cross Saimonia.

Notable Features
Kupa river valley, Vjose River Valley, Cantabrian Mountain border with Hispalis, Dinaric Mtns, Rhodope Mtns, Mt Rila, and the Rilan Massif (central block of major mountains higher than the rest), the city of Haemus is near a major pass up to the Rilan Massif and is an important part of trade within Saimonia. Gvozdeni doline or (Valley of Iron) is a major region in the south, and Zelena Luka (green harbor) is a broad bread basket which doesn't produce enough food to feed the country.
Teren Trandafiri is a region peopled more by Trandafir than any other part of Saimonia, and is known particularly for the wild rose gardens composed of huge varieties of domesticated roses tended by all the traveling people moving throughout the countryside. Kos, a periodically active volcano, is along the southern coastline and has varying geopolitical impact on the rest of Saimonia whenever active. Bay of Kotor, sits at the south western corner of the country, offering a safe port against the Kraken Reefs and trade into the Cyrnosian Sea. It is defended by a knife-like protrusion of rock that hides the bulk of the city and is fortified to attack any attempting to enter.
